Hy-Vee, Inc. in Harlan, IA is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Clerk to support daily pharmacy operations.

You will assist customers, stock supplies, process transactions, and help prepare prescriptions under pharmacist supervision in a fast-paced retail setting. Candidates with a high school diploma and 6 months to 1 year of related experience, vaccination certification if applicable, and a strong sense of accuracy and discretion are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months to one year of related experience preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as applicable by law.
• Ability to count, handle money, and operate POS system with accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service.

Responsabilités

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Answer the telephone promptly and assist callers, including refills.
• Gather patient information required to prepare prescriptions.
• Stock received products and keep pharmacy supplies well stocked.
• Review prescriptions not picked up and coordinate with the department manager.
• Log invoices and complete cash transactions accurately.
• Prepare paperwork and assemble medicines for delivery orders.
• Coordinate nursing home medicines and vaccinate as allowed by law.
• Maintain confidentiality of customers' private medical information.
• Keep the pharmacy clean and assist with other store duties as needed.
