Hy-Vee Fairfield is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Clerk to support daily pharmacy operations. You will greet customers, process refills, and assist with prescriptions under pharmacist supervision. You’ll help stock supplies, maintain accuracy in cash handling, and ensure a clean, organized workflow.

The role emphasizes discretion with patient information, teamwork with the pharmacy staff, and adherence to Hy-Vee policies. Vaccination duties may be required where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Six months to one year of similar or related experience preferred.
• Vaccination certification required if administering vaccines, as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Answer telephone promptly and assist customers with refills or questions.
• Gather patient information required to prepare prescriptions and process orders.
• Stock and organize pharmacy supplies; keep the area clean and well stocked.
• Log invoices and complete cash transactions accurately as needed.
• Assist in preparing paperwork for deliveries and mail-out orders.
• Coordinate nursing home medicine deliveries and assist with vaccine administration where allowed.
