Minimum qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to handle confidential information

Desired qualifications:

  • Any previous comparable experience
  • Experience with customer service, including registries, phone, and cashier
  • Experience with inventory control in a retail environment

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation regulations/guidelines/procedures and programs according to company, local, state, and federal health code regulations; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
  • Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated.
  • Maintain departmental standards, including keeping clean and organized workstations and customer waiting areas.
  • Understand and follow company guidelines on computerized inventory management, control, and ordering of non-legend drugs.
  • Complete all aspects of inventory control, including shelf maintenance.
  • Answer phones, triage calls, and respond to inquiries appropriately.
  • Promote sales and services to customers and store associates.
  • Adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons, managing cash shortages, and company shrink guidelines.
  • Operate the cash register following all policies to prevent loss, including handling electronic transactions and cash.
  • Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately performing all steps of product dispensing, if legally permissible.
  • Follow HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding patient and business information confidentiality.
  • Support company health and wellness initiatives.
  • Work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments.
  • Manage conflicts in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
  • Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
