Weis Markets, Inc. is seeking a dedicated packaging associate for our pharmacy operations at 16 S. Industrial Park Road, PA. The role involves preparing and packaging prescriptions for delivery to local stores or patients, while safeguarding patient information and complying with procedures.

You will support pharmacists, maintain accuracy, and ensure a clean, safe work environment in a fast-paced setting that follows HIPAA and federal/state laws.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience completed or working towards a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license for business travel purposes.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and package fulfilled prescriptions for delivery to local pharmacies or patients, following procedures.
• Organize printed prescription information by patient to safeguard HIPAA.
• Ensure printed data matches bottles before bagging.
• Sort, pack, and process prescription totes for store shipments.
• Assist packaging and shipping labels for mail order and specialty meds.
• Assist with inventory by unpacking, sorting, shelving, and cycle counts; use FIFO.
• Support central fill system and dispensing automation to meet daily goals safely.
• Maintain knowledge of systems and equipment for packing, shipping, and inventory.
• Provide operational support to pharmacists; keep workspace clean and safe.
• Maintain focus and accuracy on repetitive tasks.
• Report suspected prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
• Adhere to policies for central fill and pharmacy operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Understand and comply with all federal and state laws.
