Qualifications

• Attention to detail required for packaging and accuracy in medication handling.
• Ability to work within HIPAA guidelines and protect patient information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package fulfilled prescription meds for final distribution.
• Organize printed prescription information by patient to safeguard HIPAA data.
• Ensure printed information matches prepared prescriptions before bagging.
• Sort, pack, and process prescription totes for shipment to local stores.
• Assist with mail order and specialty medication packaging and shipping labels.
• Support inventory management through unpacking, sorting, and shelving orders; perform cycle counts.
• Utilize central fill dispensing system and dispensing automation to maintain workflow.
• Maintain knowledge of packaging, shipping, and inventory systems/equipment.
• Provide operational support to pharmacists and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Maintain focus and accuracy during repetitive tasks and report prescription errors.
• Follow federal/state laws and Weis operating policies.
