Job summary

Walgreens in Pontiac, IL is seeking a Customer Experience Associate to greet customers, assist with products and services, and operate the cash register to provide courteous, efficient checkout.

You will engage shoppers, resolve issues, maintain clean shelves and merchandise, and support pharmacy-related tasks as needed. Prior Walgreens experience and 6 months of retail work are preferred; fluency in English is required; evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.

Responsibilities

• Register customer purchases on the cash register and process payments, returns, and exchanges.
• Recommend items and assist customers with OTC products and routine shopping needs.
• Operate store systems to check prescription status when applicable.
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty per policy.
• Keep counters and shelves clean and merchandised; take inventory and price items as directed.
• Assist with displays, promotions, and general store maintenance.
• Adhere to company policies and maintain respectful coworker relationships.
