Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Call Center Representative for the Retail Pharmacy Communication Hub at the Southlake Campus. You will assist patients and families with timely, accurate information about medications while upholding patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.

In this role you will handle inbound and outbound calls, document outcomes, and coordinate refills with pharmacists, nurses, and health care providers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in customer service call center or high-volume retail pharmacy.
• Experience using call center software to answer, transfer, page, and email.
• Excellent communication and phone skills; able to handle multiple calls.
• Multitasking while using several software systems for first-call resolution.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Retail Pharmacy Communication Hub operations.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service while maintaining confidentiality.
• Respond to inbound calls and make outbound follow-ups to schedule refills.
• Document call outcomes accurately in the system.
• Escalate issues to pharmacists or supervisors as needed.
• Support quality improvement initiatives.
