Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Idaho is seeking a Pharmacy Buyer for the MedNow Outpatient Pharmacy to procure pharmaceuticals and supplies, manage inventory, and ensure proper storage to maintain quality for the department.

The role involves reviewing invoices, maintaining supplier catalogs, and developing purchasing guidelines while complying with state and federal regulations. Idaho Pharmacy Technician license and hospital purchasing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Two years in hospital purchasing field and/or inventory control preferred.
• General management experience is preferred.
• Pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Pharmacy automation and pharmacy IT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory and stock levels to support patient care.
• Develops and maintains a system to track medication orders and invoices.
• Manages purchasing, receiving, and inventory control processes.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with applicable State, Federal and local requirements.
• Communicates purchasing initiatives and provides analysis by site.
• Coordinates with clinics to resolve pricing, supply and delivery issues.
