Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Buyer for the MEDNOW Outpatient Pharmacy. The role focuses on procuring pharmaceuticals, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with 340B and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician with the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Two years in hospital purchasing and/or inventory control preferred.
• General management experience preferred.
• Pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Pharmacy automation and pharmacy IT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procure pharmaceuticals and supplies from appropriate sources.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure proper storage to preserve quality.
• Review invoices for pricing/quantity and maintain supplier catalogs.
• Develop and maintain a system to track medication orders and invoices.
• Monitor 340B purchasing and related reporting for compliance and savings.
• Communicate purchasing initiatives and provide per-site analysis.
• Produce monthly wholesaler reports and respond to price changes.
