Job summary
CoxHealth South Pharmacy, located at 3801 S National Ave, Springfield, MO 65807, seeks a Pharmacy Automation Technician for the 1080 Inpatient Pharmacy South. You will operate Robot-RX, Omnicell, and IV-related automation, manage databases, and oversee cart fill and packaging activities.
The role requires a Pharmacy Technician certification, 1-2 years of related experience, and strong verbal/written communication. Interstate workflow and varied shifts apply at this facility.
Qualifications
- Pharmacy automation competency evaluation required within 90 days of hire, then annually.
- Pharmacy technician certification through a nationally accredited organization is required.
- 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Operate department automation systems (Robot-RX, Omnicell, narcotic vault, pre-packaging machines, CPM Carousel, IV Station).
- Manage Omnicell and Connect RX Databases and support daily cart fill and packaging operations.
- Perform controlled substance ordering, receiving, dispensing and record-keeping tasks.
- Provide supervision to technicians involved in daily operations and QA projects related to automation.
