The University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a Pharmacy Analyst to coordinate and provide analytical support related to pharmacy operations. This role includes reviewing data for compliance, performing financial and operational analysis, and ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations.
Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree related to healthcare or business administration, along with 4 years of relevant experience. The position requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with compliance in pharmacy-related areas.
The Pharmacy Analyst coordinates and provides analytical support related to financial, operational, and/or compliance needs relating to the Department of Pharmacy. They may participate in, lead, or oversee special projects as assigned by departmental leadership. They are responsible for maintaining a baseline level of knowledge for the department on workflows and specific pharmacy-focused programs (these programs may include, but are not limited to, 340b rules and regulations, contracting, and licensing). They may be required to support existing and/or expansion of business opportunities as they relate to the Department of Pharmacy’s operations. They work with outside vendors and consultants as required to perform the above duties.
Specific responsibilities will be documented and retained internally by the Department of Pharmacy.
