Job summary

Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center in Safford, AZ is seeking a 340B Analyst to analyze data sets, maintain the 340B split-billing system, and develop KPI reports for leadership.

The role requires 5 years of healthcare experience, PTCB certification, and strong regulatory knowledge. The successful candidate will monitor 340B processes, ensure accuracy of NDC crosswalks and HCPCS mapping, and collaborate with Pharmacy, Compliance and Finance.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Proof of highest level of education completed but not less than high school education or equivalent.
  • Basic typing and computer skills.
  • Certification in good standing by the PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Inc.).
  • 5 years of previous healthcare experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form.
  • An understanding of computer systems, process design and data management.
  • Familiarity with state/federal legal and pharmacy regulatory compliance.
  • Must have a well-groomed, professional appearance.
  • Must have the mental and physical ability to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, the essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to lift, carry, pull, & push 20 pounds.
  • Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency.

Responsibilities

  • Category: 340B Analyst: Analyzes data sets from various information systems to assess and assure compliance with 340B Program regulatory requirements, related to diversion, duplicate discounts, HRSA and OPA requirements, and 340B program trends.
  • Responsible for accurate maintenance of the 340B split-billing system including, but not limited to: New products added to information systems in a timely manner; National Drug Code crosswalks are up to date; CMS HCPCS mapping is accurate; Claims review and auditing; Manual invoice entry in the split-billing system; Locations are mapped correctly; Develop a process to compare volumes in split-billing system to volumes in organizational revenue cycle/billing systems; Provides active monitoring of 340B processes on an on-going basis.
  • Develops and maintains reports of 340B Key Performance Indicators and 340B financial results. Provides reports as needed to pharmacy leadership, Compliance, Finance, IT, Legal departments, and executive leadership as requested.
  • Proactively assists pharmacy and executive leadership with preparing 340B compliance policies, procedures and related approaches to 340B purchasing and program operations to meet organizational, state and program standards. Maintains current knowledge on 340B programs and attends related continuous education events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A non-professional health care employee who, under the general supervision of the Director of Pharmacy or direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, performs specific job responsibilities authorized by the Board of Pharmacy Rules and Regulations.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Previous Meditech experience or other related electronic records systems.
