Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Orlando, part of the Guardian family, is seeking a pharmacist to join our high-volume closed-door facility in Orlando, Florida. You will prepare medications, review orders, and ensure compliance with regulations while interacting with patients by phone.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Pharmacy) or PharmD is required.
• State Pharmacist License with no restrictions.
• 1+ year of related experience.
• Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred/required.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Medical consulting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare medications for final dispensing.
• Review orders and cycle-fill medications for accuracy.
• Verify legality and feasibility of dispensing.
• Interpret prescription orders with professional judgment.
• Adhere to Federal and State Board regulations.
• Adhere to guidelines for compounding.
• Transfer prescriptions to other pharmacies as needed.
• Answer questions from patients, doctors, nurses.
• Monitor inventory and place orders when below par.
• Oversee technicians and provide feedback.
