Qualifications
- Pharm.D. from an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Texas State Board of Pharmacy license.
- 1–2 years of experience in a community pharmacy setting.
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to patients.
- Review and verify patients' prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Provide patient education and counseling on medication use.
- Monitor medication inventory and order new supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure patient safety and adherence to treatment plans.
- Maintain and update patient records and medication histories.
- Stay updated with the latest pharmaceutical knowledge and industry trends.
- Assist in the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.
