Job summary

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required.
• Pharmacy licensure required within 60 days of start date.
• BLS or ACLS required; PALS for pediatric practice.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and dispenses drug orders per physician request.
• Interprets orders and transcribes into the patient medication record.
• Compounds and dispenses sterile and non-sterile products.
• Issues controlled substances following law and policy.
• Monitors drug therapy for safety and effectiveness.
• Provides clinical consultation and drug information to staff and patients.
• Supervises pharmacy technicians and ensures compliance with licensing.
• Participates in ambulatory care services and anticoagulation management.
• Attends interdisciplinary rounds and quality improvement activities.
