Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a licensed pharmacist for the Superior Clinic's Retail Pharmacy. The role focuses on dispensing and monitoring medications, optimizing drug therapy, and providing immunizations to patients and healthcare staff.

You will participate in clinical initiatives, supervise staff, manage inventory, handle billing and audits, and support daily pharmacy operations with a flexible schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensure in Wisconsin or Minnesota (active or in process).
• BLS certification within one week of hire.
• Immunization Delivery Certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, dispense and monitor medications for quality pharmaceutical services.

Building Location:Superior ClinicDepartment:2232400 RETAIL PHARMACY - SUPRJob Description:This position performs all duties associated with interpretation, dispensing and monitoring of medications to provide quality pharmaceutical services to patients, physicians and other health care professionals. The pharmacist will optimize drug therapy to improve the patient's quality of life and health outcomes, while providing access to medications and immunizations. The pharmacist will also participate in clinical initiatives and assist in all aspects of the daily pharmacy department activities, including training of new staff and pharmacy students, supervision of pharmacy technicians and interns, resolution of customer service issues, billing, record keeping, monthly audits, and other functions necessary for optimal pharmacy performance. Job duties also include inventory control, care of supplies and equipment, and accurate cash handling, and other duties as assigned by the department leader.Education Qualifications:Educational Requirement:Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (BS or PharmD degree required)Licensure/Certification Qualifications:Certification/Licensure Requirement:Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the Board of Pharmacy in the state in which they will be working (Minnesota, Wisconsin). If currently registered as a Pharmacist in another state, must be registered with the Board of Pharmacy in the state in which they will be working (Minnesota, Wisconsin) as a Pharmacist-Intern and actively pursuing licensure as a Registered Pharmacist, obtaining licensure within 90 days of hire. New hires must obtain licensure within 90 days of hire.
