Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, Missouri is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to process and verify medication orders, monitor patient therapies and provide drug information. The staff pharmacist supervises and directs support personnel and may assume the duties of the pharmacy manager in their absence.

Education: B.Pharm (ACPE) required; PharmD with PGY1 residency preferred. Licensure: Missouri Board of Pharmacy registration; MTMS within 90 days.

• Required: Bachelors in Pharmacy from ACPE-accredited school.
• PharmD with ASHP PGY1 residency preferred.

Job Description

Staff pharmacists process/verify orders for medications, monitor patient medication therapies and provide drug information. Staff pharmacists supervise and direct support personnel. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager.

Education

• Required: Bachelors in Pharmacy - Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy
• Preferred: Doctorate of Pharmacy - Completion of ASHP accredited PGY1 residency

• Required: No Prior Experience Required
• Preferred: 2 years healthcare setting or equivalent residency training
