Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience as required by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) for Certification Exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and updating patient records.
• Work under supervision of a registered pharmacist; perform duties only permitted for technicians under supervision.
• Present completed medications to pharmacist for verification and interact with patients to ensure quality service.
• Demonstrate problem solving and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Pharmacy technicians present completed medications to the pharmacist for verification, routinely interact with patients to ensure quality service and other job duties where applicable.
