Job summary

Loyola Medicine, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care across hospital settings. The role involves overseeing dispensing, drug information, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while coordinating with the pharmacy team.

ACLS certification is preferred; 1–2 years of experience is desirable and residency in Pharmacy Practice is preferred. The position offers benefits from day one and competitive shift differentials.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BPharm degree required.
• Residency in Pharmacy Practice - General preferred.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• ACLS certification preferred.

What you’ll do:

• Clinical staff pharmacists provide pharmaceutical care services to all patients of the hospital including, but not limited to, oversight, monitoring, preparation, dispensing and proper documentation of patient medication therapy as well as providing drug information and oversight over information and dispensing systems. Pharmacists will work with the pharmacy team to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations, as well as proper storage and documentation of pharmaceuticals. This position processes medication orders for age-appropriate and disease-appropriate medication therapy, supervises the work of pharmacy technicians to ensure the delivery of high quality pharmaceutical services, provide medication information to other health care team members to assist them in their patient care activities, and acts as an interface between pharmacy and its customers to coordinate the delivery of Pharmacy services.

What you'll need for this job:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)

• Preferred: ACLS (Advanced Cardio Life Support Certified)

Compensation:

Pa y Rate: $69.40 per hour Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
