Job summary

Loyola Medicine, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a pharmacist to join its hospital pharmacy team in the Chicago area. You will provide pharmaceutical care, oversight, and documentation while collaborating with clinical staff to ensure safe medication practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care services to hospital patients, including oversight, monitoring, preparation, dispensing and documentation.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure delivery of high quality services.
• Coordinate delivery of Pharmacy services and act as liaison between pharmacy and care team.

What you’ll do:

Clinical staff pharmacists provide pharmaceutical care services to all patients of the hospital including, but not limited to, oversight, monitoring, preparation, dispensing and proper documentation of patient medication therapy as well as providing drug information and oversight over information and dispensing systems. Pharmacists will work with the pharmacy team to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations, as well as proper storage and documentation of pharmaceuticals. This position processes medication orders for age-appropriate and disease-appropriate medication therapy, supervises the work of pharmacy technicians to ensure the delivery of high quality pharmaceutical services, provide medication information to other health care team members to assist them in their patient care activities, and acts as an interface between pharmacy and its customers to coordinate the delivery of Pharmacy services.

Compensation:

Pay Rate: $69.40 per hour Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
