Loyola Medicine is seeking an oncology pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to diverse patient populations, including compounding and dispensing medications to achieve optimal, safe outcomes.

The role involves medication therapy evaluation, drug information for staff and patients, and participation in quality improvement activities, within a customer-focused, cost-effective, and results-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree required.
• Residency in Pharmacy Practice - General preferred; Oncology residency preferred.
• 1–2 years of pharmacy experience.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to diverse patient populations.
• Compound and dispense medications to achieve safe, optimal outcomes.
• Participate in medication therapy evaluation and drug information for staff and patients.
• Contribute to quality improvement activities within Pharmacy Services.

Education

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)

What you’ll do:

The oncology pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care to various patient populations by compounding and dispensing medications to achieve optimal outcomes in the safest manner possible. In an effort to achieve these goals, the oncology pharmacist will take part in medication therapy evaluation, will provide drug information to staff and patients, will facilitate positive outcomes in their practice setting, and will participate in quality improvement activities. Helps achieve the mission of Loyola University Medical Center Pharmacy Services and Cancer Service Line by performing duties in a customer focused, cost effective, and results oriented manner.

What you'll need for this job:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)
• Residency: Pharmacy Practice - General (Preferred), Specialty - Oncology (Preferred)
• 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
• Preferred: ACLS (Advanced Cardio Life Support Certified)

Pay Rate: $69.40 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
