Job summary

Olympic Medical Center in Washington state is seeking a licensed pharmacist to dispense medications and IV solutions to patients within a hospital setting. You will supervise Pharmacy Technicians and pharmacy students and participate in clinical activities and problem solving alongside the care team.

The ideal candidate holds a PharmD or equivalent, graduates from an accredited school of pharmacy, and has a WA Pharmacist license.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy required.
  • Minimum of one-year experience in hospital pharmacy field preferred including automated drug distribution, I.V. admixtures, clinical pharmacy methods/practice and information systems.
  • Registered Pharmacist license in State of Washington required.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications and I.V. solutions to patients.
  • Provide information and education to patients, staff and public.
  • Participates in ongoing clinical patient oriented activities and problem solving with the team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for dispensing medications and I.V. solutions to patients. Provides immediate supervision and control of the work activities of Pharmacy Technicians and pharmacy students. Participates in ongoing clinical patient oriented activities and undertakes problem solving as appropriate. Provides information and education to patients, staff and public.

EDUCATION

Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy required.

Minimum of one-year experience in hospital pharmacy field preferred including automated drug distribution, I.V. admixtures, clinical pharmacy methods/practice and information systems.

LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS

Registered Pharmacist license in State of Washington required.
