Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY is seeking a pharmacist to join our night shift team. Under general supervision, you will practice at the full scope of professional pharmacy duties and apply professional judgment in decision-making.

The role requires NYS pharmacist licensure, a PharmD or BS with residency, and hospital pharmacy experience; weekend work is required on alternating weeks, with 12 midnight - 8:00 am scheduling.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy (BS or Doctor of Pharmacy).
• Pharmacist license in NY required; residency may substitute for some experience.
• Minimum three years hospital pharmacist experience or completion of a residency.
• Maintains 15 CE credits annually and continuing education participation.
• Must be able to work every other weekend.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Under general supervision, performs the full scope of duties associated with professional pharmacy practice. Is empowered to use judgment in the decision-making process within their sphere of activity.

WORK SCHEDULE

12 midnight - 8:00 am, must be able to work every other weekend.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

• Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy (BS or Doctor of Pharmacy).
• PharmD or MS degree and/or completion of Pharmacy Residency Program may be used as a substitute for some experience.
• Valid NYS Pharmacist license and registration.
• Minimum of three years' experience as a pharmacist in hospital setting or completion of Pharmacy residency.
• Maintains professional competence through participation in continuing education programs and review of periodical literature.
• Maintains and provides proof of 15 Continuing Education credits each year.
• Must be able to work every other weekend.
