Job summary

Performs various non-judgmental functions in all areas of the department including, ambulatory and inpatient drug distribution, sterile product preparation, manufacturing and packaging as well as provision of ambulatory services. Responsible for the procurement of inventory and inventory control. Performs other related duties and utilizes automated and computerized technology as required.**WORK SCHEDULE:**8:00 am 4:30 pm, must be able to work every other weekend.**EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:**High school graduate or equivalent.Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program or equivalent on the job training.Valid NYS Pharmacy Technician license is required.Valid PTCB certification is required.Must pass a Pharmacy Technician test.This position requires knowledge of pharmaceuticals and inventory control practice and procedures.Excellent communications, customer service and business interpersonal skills.This position requires PC, windows and other business or pharmacy computer system literacy.Must be able to work every other weekend.Montefiore Medical Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
