Job summary

Baptist Nassau is seeking a Pharmacist to join our team on a PRN basis at Baptist Nassau in Yulee, Florida. The role is a central operations position within the Central Pharmacy, IV room, and OR Satellite, with shifts varying across day, evening, night, and weekends.

The Pharmacist will check orders, supervise technicians, and collaborate with medical staff on therapies. Florida licensure is required; hospital pharmacy experience and PGY1 residency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacist – State Board of Pharmacy Required.
• Licensed Pharmacist – DOH Required.
• Bachelor of Science Required.
• A Pharmacist license within the State of Florida is required.
• In-Patient Hospital Pharmacy Experience is preferred; PGY1 Residency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders with great accuracy and verify technician work prior to release.
• Supervise technicians and serve on assigned committees.
• Consult with medical staff on medication and regimens; answer questions from health care professionals.
• Monitor patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetic services.

This is a central operations role within the Central Pharmacy, IV room, and OR Satellite. The shift times would vary from day, evening, night and weekend shifts. This Pharmacist will be working in the central pharmacy checking patient orders, authorizations, and dispensing medications. This Pharmacist will be supervising technicians and consulting with other medical staff on medication and regimens.
