Job summary

Baptist Health Downtown is seeking a Pharmacist to join the Hospital at Home team, with a 7-on/7-off coverage model from 7:00am to 6:00pm. You will enter orders, verify technician work, supervise staff, and consult with medical teams on medication regimens.

Florida-licensed in-patient hospital pharmacists with experience preferred; PGY1 residency preferred but not required. Based in Downtown Jacksonville.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Florida Pharmacist license.
• In-Patient Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred.
• PGY1 residency preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders with great accuracy.
• Check technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.
• Supervising technicians and serving on committees as assigned.
• Answering questions for all health care professionals.
• Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
• Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics services.

This is a full-time opportunity working a 7-on/7-off coverage model from 7:00am - 6:00pm.This Pharmacist will be checking patient orders, authorizations, dispensing medications, will be supervising technicians, and consulting with other medical staff on medication and regimens. This Pharmacist will have the autonomy to work independently. A Pharmacists license in the State of Florida is required as well as In-Patient Hospital Pharmacy experience.
