Job summary

Baptist Health in downtown Jacksonville seeks a Pharmacist to join our Central Pharmacy, IV room and OR Satellite. This is a full-time role with shifts from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with every fourth weekend required.

Responsibilities include entering orders accurately, reviewing technician work before release, supervising staff, answering clinical questions, and monitoring patient therapy.

Qualifications

• BS Pharmacy or equivalent required.
• Current Florida Pharmacist license (DOH) required.
• Active State Board of Pharmacy registration.
• Pharmacist licensure in Florida required.
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred; PGY1 residency preferred.

Job Overview

Baptist Health is currently looking for a Pharmacist to join our team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville! This is a full-time, various shift opportunity at our beautiful campus in downtown Jacksonville. This is a central operations role within the Central Pharmacy, IV room, and OR Satellite. The primary working hours and shift are 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with every fourth weekend shifts required.

Responsibilities

• Entering orders with great accuracy.
• Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.
• Supervising technicians and serving on committees as assigned.
• Answering questions for all health care professionals.
• Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
• Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics services.

Education & Credential Requirements

• Registered Pharmacist - State Board of Pharmacy Required
• Licensed Pharmacist - DOH Required
• Bachelor of Science Required
• A Pharmacist license within the State of Florida is required.
• In-Patient Hospital Pharmacy Experience is preferred and PGY1 Residency is preferred.
