Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital – St. Louis North is seeking a Pharmacist to provide PRN coverage at Christian Northeast Hospital. The role involves drug distribution, IV admixture, and clinical support in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include ensuring medication safety, maintaining inventory, instructing patients at discharge, training staff, and participating in drug therapy monitoring. PRN weekend/holiday coverage required; 65/PRN rate noted.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Responsibilities

• Oversee drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Pharm D or BS Pharm with advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency

Schedule: PRN/As Needed - weekend and holiday coverage needed (Typically 1 weekend every 3-4 weeks)
Compensation: $65/PRN Rate
