Select Medical in Danville, KY is seeking a Pharmacist for a PRN / Per Diem schedule. The role focuses on medication distribution, clinical support in a fast-paced hospital setting, patient counseling at discharge, and ongoing staff training.

This position emphasizes quality improvement and comprehensive patient care within a nationwide network. The ideal candidate will hold an active state license, have a Pharm D or BS Pharm with advanced qualifications or residency, and be capable of

Qualifications

• Current State licensure required.
• Pharmacist degree (Pharm D or BS Pharm) with advanced degree or hospital residency preferred.
• BLS if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Have working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Inform and instruct patients on drugs to be used after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.
