Cardinal Health Remote Pharmacy Services Pharmacist

Through our remote service, we serve acute-care hospitals, providing you an opportunity to practice hospital pharmacy outside of a hospital setting. Utilize your clinical skills – including monitoring, dosing and reviewing patient medication therapy – and leave the dispensing to the hospital. Cardinal Health Remote Pharmacy Services is currently searching for a highly energetic and clinically oriented pharmacist to join our remote pharmacy team. Pharmacists will utilize their clinical skills to remotely service our clients’ patients, and provide a top notch continuity of care.

This is a PRN/on call position with typical shifts in the evening/overnight and on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

1. Remote order entry and CPOE order evaluation and verification
2. Physician and nursing consultations
3. Clinical medication dosing services
4. Review and monitoring of profiles and lab values for therapeutic outcomes
5. Coordinates access to medications according to facility policy and procedures, and in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

1. Active pharmacy license(s) in state of residence as well as state of original licensure.
2. Must have an active NC and NY license Required
3. Must be willing to obtain all core licenses required for this role: CT, DE, MA, ME, NH, OH, PA, RI and VT.
4. 2-4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience preferred.
5. Ability to gain reciprocity to additional states required for practice.
6. Computer savvy to learn and perform successful operation of multiple pharmacy information systems.
7. Excellent communication skills to enable the successful interactions with other healthcare professionals to facilitate the delivery of competent clinical care.
8. Inpatient Hospital Experience (at least 2 years strongly preferred)
9. Evening, weekend and holiday coverage
10. Experience/ability to interpret and process handwritten orders as well as CPOE orders

Anticipated Pay rate: $48.90 - $60.00
