Job summary

Regency Hospital - Florence is seeking a Pharmacist to join our team in Florence, SC, located inside MUSC. This per diem/PRN position offers an hourly rate of $63.00 with orientation and potential advancement opportunities.

The pharmacist will support clinical operations, manage drug distribution, ensure safe IV admixture processes, and provide discharge counseling. Current state licensure and BLS where required are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires state licensure for pharmacy practice.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical services, drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support to hospital pharmacy in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy.
• Educate patients on medications at discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
