Select Medical in Florence, SC, located inside MUSC, is seeking a Pharmacist for Per Diem/PRN work. The role focuses on drug distribution, IV admixture, clinical support, and patient counseling during discharge, with responsibilities for maintaining stock and training staff.

This position supports ongoing quality improvement in a fast-paced hospital setting. The successful candidate will hold an active state license, have a Pharm D or BS Pharmacy, and may require BLS per state rules.

Formación

• Active pharmacist license in the state.
• Pharm D or BS Pharm with hospital pharmacy residency preferred.
• BLS certification if required by state.

Responsabilidades

• Have working knowledge of drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Inform and instruct patients on medications to be used after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.

• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
