Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and possess current licensure to practice pharmacy in the State of South Carolina.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a pharmacist.
• Proficient with a computerized pharmacy system.
• Adheres to Federal and State regulations governing pharmacy practice.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all aspects of the pharmacy in strict accordance with Federal and State regulations.
• Maintains adequate pharmaceutical inventory and formulary.
• Monitors stock for out-dated drugs and disposes of them per guidelines.
• Fills compounds and dispenses medications as prescribed.
• Performs medication consultations with patients at dispensation and provides OBRA-compliant education.
• Provides pharmaceutical consultation to medical staff and maintains records.
• Maintains current patient drug files and ensures proper drug information is up to date.
• Assists in inspections, audits, and contract negotiations where needed.
