A leading company in the pharmacy industry is seeking a Pharmacy Manager in Georgia. The role requires overseeing all pharmacy operations while ensuring compliance with laws and enhancing patient care. Candidates must hold a valid Georgia Pharmacy License and have at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Summary
Responsible for the management, oversight and operations of all aspects within the pharmacy.
Essential Responsibilities
• Ensure staffing optimization positively impacts quality of care and patient experience
• Enforce pharmacypolicies and procedures
• Perform pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management
• Accountable for safe medication storage, diversion monitoring and other pharmacy inventory activities
• Resolve patient complaints and answer questions to ensure a positive patient experience
• Assist Human Resources with talent management life cycle including recruiting, onboarding, mentoring/developing, engagement, training, retention, performance management and succession planning
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations
• Ensure compliance with all applicable TJC standards and elements of performance (EPs)
• Participates in CCRH QIQA (Quality Improvement-Quality Assurance) programs, including the review of error reports , drug utilization reviews, and adverse drug event reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
• Current and unrestricted Georgia Pharmacy License
• Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List
• 2 years experience in a retail, hospital, or clinical pharmacy setting
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Excellent communication skills that will foster trust, clear vision, and mutual respect
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to resolve employee, client and patient issues with a strong service mentality
• Ability to identify areas of opportunity, develop a plan of action to improve, implement and evaluate plan effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel
• Experience opening a new pharmacy (preferred)
• Experience with pharmacy software systems
