Job summary

Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) seeks a Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy unit in Columbus, OH. You will provide expert advice to pharmacists participating in the Medicaid program and help manage the pharmacy benefit program.

Responsibilities include oversight of the PBM, advising committees, and ensuring compliance with state/federal rules. Licensed pharmacists with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice pharmacy in Ohio, per State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist.

Job Overview:

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking a Pharmacist to be a part of its Pharmacy unit. As a member of the Medicaid Pharmacy team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice and assistance to pharmacists participating in the Ohio Medicaid Program, including development of prior authorization criteria
  • Assisting in the management of the Medicaid Pharmacy Program
  • Providing oversight of the Medicaid pharmacy benefit administrator and Single Pharmacy Benefit Manager
  • Advising the Drug Utilization Review and Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committees
  • Providing managed care pharmacy program oversight
  • Reviewing state and federal rules and regulations related to pharmacy

Qualifications

Licensed to practice pharmacy as issued by State Board of Pharmacy, pursuant to Section 4729.12 of Revised Code; 2 yrs. exp. as licensed pharmacist.

Travel required, as needed. Must provide own transportation. Or, in order to operate a state vehicle, you must have a valid driver's license from the state of residence.
