Job summary

The Ohio Department of Medicaid is seeking a Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy unit in Columbus, OH. You will provide expert advice to pharmacists and help develop prior authorization criteria, while supporting the Medicaid Pharmacy Program and related committees.

Responsibilities include oversight of the Medicaid PBM, DUR, P&T committees, and state/federal rule reviews. Requires a valid Ohio pharmacy license and at least 2 years of licensed practice; 8:00-5:00 schedule, full-time on-site

Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice pharmacy per State Board requirements.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice to pharmacists in Ohio Medicaid.
  • Assist in management of the Medicaid Pharmacy Program.
  • Oversee the Medicaid pharmacy benefit administrator and SBPM.
  • Advise the Drug Utilization Review and P&T Committees.
  • Provide managed care pharmacy program oversight.
  • Review state and federal pharmacy rules and regulations.

Job Overview

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking a Pharmacist to be a part of its Pharmacy unit. As a member of the Medicaid Pharmacy team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice and assistance to pharmacists participating in the Ohio Medicaid Program, including development of prior authorization criteria
  • Assisting in the management of the Medicaid Pharmacy Program
  • Providing oversight of the Medicaid pharmacy benefit administrator and Single Pharmacy Benefit Manager
  • Advising the Drug Utilization Review and Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committees
  • Providing managed care pharmacy program oversight
  • Reviewing state and federal rules and regulations related to pharmacy

Licensed to practice pharmacy as issued by State Board of Pharmacy, pursuant to Section 4729.12 of Revised Code; 2 yrs. exp. as licensed pharmacist.
