Job summary

Ohio Department of Aging is seeking a Pharmacologist (PN 20045431) in the Health Innovation & Quality Office, Pharmacy/Dental Bureau, to advise pharmacists in the Ohio Medicaid Program and help develop prior authorization criteria.

The role oversees Medicaid pharmacy benefits, advises DRUG Utilization Review and P&T committees, and reviews state and federal pharmacy rules and regulations to ensure program compliance.

Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice pharmacy as issued by State Board of Pharmacy.
  • 2 yrs. exp. as licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities

Job Overview:

  • Providing expert advice and assistance to pharmacists participating in the Ohio Medicaid Program, including development of prior authorization criteria
  • Assisting in the management of the Medicaid Pharmacy Program
  • Providing oversight of the Medicaid pharmacy benefit administrator and Single Pharmacy Benefit Manager
  • Advising the Drug Utilization Review and Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committees
  • Providing managed care pharmacy program oversight
  • Reviewing state and federal rules and regulations related to pharmacy

Qualifications

Licensed to practice pharmacy as issued by State Board of Pharmacy, pursuant to Section 4729.12 of Revised Code; 2 yrs. exp. as licensed pharmacist.
