Job summary

The Valley Health System is seeking a professional Pharmacist to join Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. You will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care through drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching, and monitor therapies to ensure safe, effective treatment.

Requirements include a Nevada Pharmacist license, a BS Pharm, and about one year of hospital experience preferred. Automation experience with reporting features is a plus as part of a dynamic, team-focused pharmacy.

Qualifications

• Education: BS Pharm (Pharmacy degree).
• Experience: 1 year hospital setting preferred.
• License/Certification: Nevada Pharmacist License.
• Automation experience with reporting features.

Summerlin Hospital is a 485-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month; a Children’s Medical Center with an NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women’s health, and oncology care. Summerlin Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a Primary Stroke Center and has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines program.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm)
• Experience: One (1) year experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Technical Skills: Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.)
• License/Certification: Current Pharmacist License in the State of Nevada
