Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Wyandotte, MI is seeking a Pharmacist to join a hospital pharmacy team on a per diem basis. The role requires current state licensure and supports clinical pharmacy services in a fast-paced setting.

You will maintain drug supplies, provide patient counseling, contribute to training, and monitor drug therapy while promoting continuous quality improvement and exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements and state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Responsibilities

• Maintain working knowledge of drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of hospital pharmacy in a fast paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Inform and instruct patients on drugs to be used after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Schedule: Per DiemCompensation: $71.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
