Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Wyandotte, MI is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a Per Diem schedule. You will ensure accurate drug distribution, participate in IV admixture, and provide clinical support in a fast-paced hospital pharmacy.

The role emphasizes patient education on discharge medications, maintaining stock, and contributing to training programs. State licensure is required; BLS if required by state; Pharm D or BS Pharm with residency is preferred.

• Successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.

Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Inform and instruct patients on drugs to be used after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.
