Overview

Pharmacist - Per Diem/PRN at Select Specialty Hospital Saginaw, a critical illness recovery hospital located in Saginaw, Michigan. The role supports pharmaceutical services in a world-class inpatient post-ICU setting for chronically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery.

Location: Saginaw, Michigan (Select Specialty Hospital - Saginaw)

Responsibilities

• Have a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly inform and instruct patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
