Deborah in New Jersey seeks a Pharmacist to oversee medication orders and ensure safe, effective drug therapy under the Pharmacy Operations Manager.
The role requires 1-3 years hospital pharmacy experience; PharmD or BS in Pharmacy; supervision of Pharmacy Technicians; and availability for varied shifts including evenings and weekends. Comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.
Under the direction of the Pharmacy Operations Manager, process medication orders resulting in patients receiving safe and effective drug therapy. Provide supervision to Pharmacy Technicians assisting in these processes.
1-3 years hospital pharmacy experience and/or including residencies/fellowships preferred. BLS and ACLS certification preferred, required within first year of employment.
Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university required.
Weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., preparing IV admixtures, use of a computer keyboard). Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds. May require lifting and carrying light loads (e.g., boxes, equipment, unit dose cassettes, IV solutions) and stooping or kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves, and to file documents in lower file drawer). Walking or standing for long periods of time (4-8 hours) often necessary. Must be able to physically operate the equipment used in the job.
