Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando Central in Orlando, FL is seeking a per diem Pharmacist to support weekend and holiday coverage as needed and weekday coverage. Compensation is $65.00 per hour with part-time/per diem scheduling.

Responsibilities include clinical support, IV admixture, drug distribution, patient education, and ongoing quality improvement. The role requires state licensure and may require BLS; preferred Pharm D or BS Pharm with residency.

• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

• Maintain knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies in the pharmacy.
• Instruct patients on medications after discharge.
• Develop and participate in staff training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
• Providing clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintaining adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Correctly informing and instructing patients on any drugs to be used after they are discharged.
• Developing and participating in new employee training and education programs.
• Participating in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promoting an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
