Job summary

Select Medical's Orlando South site is seeking a Pharmacist PRN to join a critical illness recovery hospital, providing inpatient pharmaceutical services in a high-demand setting. The role emphasizes patient education, IV admixture oversight, and drug distribution, with duties spanning clinical support and training initiatives.

The position offers a per diem schedule (weekend and holiday coverage as needed) with compensation at $65.00 per hour, and a pathway toward potential full-time

Qualifications

  • Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
  • Current State licensure required.
  • BLS if required by State.

Responsibilities

  • Having working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services, including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
  • Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
  • Inform and instruct patients on any drugs to be used after discharge.
  • Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
  • Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
  • Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Education

PharmD or BS Pharm (plus advanced degree or hospital pharmacy residency)
