Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Milwaukee - St Francis in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to support inpatient pharmaceutical services and IV admixture in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will ensure accurate drug distribution, provide clinical support to the pharmacy team, educate patients prior to discharge, and collaborate with clinicians to optimize pharmacotherapy for critically ill patients.

Current state licensure and BLS may be required, with Pharm D or BS Pharm preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires state licensure as a pharmacist.
• BLS certification if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Have working knowledge of drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.
• Provide clinical support of the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
• Inform and instruct patients on drugs to be used after discharge.
• Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
• Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
• Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including drug distribution systems, central operations and IV admixture.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
• Current State licensure required.
• BLS if required by State.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
