Job summary

Walgreens is hiring a pharmacist to deliver expert pharmacy consulting, immunization services, and medication management in a patient-focused, team-driven environment. You’ll ensure safety in dispensing and regulatory compliance while educating patients on medication usage and cost-effective options.

Ideal candidates have a PharmD/BS in Pharmacy, active licensure in the district, and immunizer certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert-level pharmacy consulting services to patients.
• Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost-effective options.
• Deliver clinical healthcare services, including immunizations, diagnostic testing, and medication therapy management.
• Ensure medication safety through accurate compounding, dispensing, and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and train pharmacy team members in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Education

BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree

Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district
