Job summary

KPH Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacist in Morristown, Vermont to implement and uphold the Kinney Standard of Practice and provide high-quality health care service to customers.

Responsibilities include dispensing prescriptions with counseling, QA checks, third-party claims handling, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines while delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Follows the Kinney Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions and counsel patients.
• Performs all quality assurance steps to ensure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed.
• Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner in accordance with company guidelines.
• Oversees the initial submission, resubmission and collection of all third party claims.
• Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to maximize turns while staying in-stock for customers.
• Oversees transmission, processing and receiving of orders to Kinney Warehouse and suppliers.
• Checks pharmacy inventory for outdates and processes returns.
• Maintains prescription files and records per state and federal guidelines.
• Ensures pharmacy technology is used to maximize ROI of technology and lifespan.
• Ensures outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees at all times.
• Ensures all loss prevention policies are followed and reports deviations to Loss Prevention.
• Assists in implementing corporate marketing, advertising and promotional programs.
• Oversees maintenance of the pharmacy department to maintain a clean and professional environment.
• Maintains professional relationships with doctors and health service professionals.
• Keeps aware of developments in Pharmacy and Health Care Services and integrates them into practice.
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information.
• Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
• Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operates within them.
• Assists in training and development of pharmacy staff, including Kinney Pharmacy Clerk and Technician Training Program.
• Interfaces with auditors and outside agencies as needed.
• Completes all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
