Responsibilities

• Directs pharmacy workers in mixing, packaging, and labeling.
• Provides counseling to customers on drug interactions, dosage, storage, and related information.
• Maintains quality assurance, security of pharmacy, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
• Enters data for patient name, prescribed medication, and cost to charge system and inventory.
• Performs drug utilization reviews for patient records.
• Assays medications to determine identity, purity, and strength.
• Instructs interns and other staff on matters pertaining to pharmacy.
