Job summary

Avion Pharmaceuticals, LLC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician in San Antonio to assist with prescription processing and customer service in a retail setting.

You will handle data entry, labeling, and patient profile maintenance, while supporting the pharmacist with referrals and notifications. Prior experience in a busy retail pharmacy is preferred and knowledge of Pioneer Pharmacy System is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior knowledge of Pioneer Pharmacy System preferred, but not required.
• At least 2 years of experience in a busy retail setting preferred.
• Duties to include any other task as may be assigned by the supervising pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service (receive inbound calls and triage them, accordingly, make outbound calls).
• Process prescriptions, i.e. accurate data entry.
• Safely package and label products.
• Maintaining and updating patient profiles.
• Retrieve original prescriptions from pharmacy files for clarification.
• Prepare labels for new and refill prescriptions, including computer-generated labels when applicable.
• Assist customers with prescription pick-up, cash transactions, and pharmacist notifications.
