Job summary

SBMF is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to float between two privately owned specialty pharmacies in San Antonio. You will dispense medications accurately, counsel patients, and provide clinical support to improve outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with pharmacy software, EMR/EHR systems, and maintain HIPAA-compliant records. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, community health impact, and collaboration with technicians and physicians.

Qualifications

• Completion of a pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical experience.
• Hands-on experience with pharmacy software, EMR and EHR systems.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology and pharmacology.
• Experience working within HIPAA guidelines.

• Manage inventory levels meticulously, including ordering supplies, verifying stock accuracy, and handling medication compounding when necessary.

• Support pharmacy technician staff by overseeing workflow, verifying prescriptions, and assisting in medication preparation processes.

Experience

• Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience demonstrating advanced patient care skills.
• Hands-on experience with pharmacy software applications, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems.
